The Lions Arizona 21-S Kickoff event is a vibrant and spirited beginning to the 2026-2027 Lionistic year, held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the United Methodist Church in Chandler, Arizona. Hosted by District Governor Edmund Lopez, the event is more than a traditional meeting — it’s a celebratory gathering where Lions are encouraged to come casual, sport their funniest hats, and bring plenty of enthusiasm (and noisemakers) to mark the start of another impactful year of service.
The event includes a Cabinet Meeting, district project displays, lunch, and engaging, upbeat activities that reflect the “Big Fun” theme. It’s also an opportunity for networking, recognizing creativity in club projects, and reinforcing the district’s mission to enhance communication and foster fellowship among Lions. The event supports a broader set of initiatives announced in the Canyon State Lion August 2026 issue, including a renewed focus on mental health, ongoing service-based competitions and enhanced digital infrastructure across Lions clubs in Arizona.
